As part of the study, the cars traveled 100,000 km and were then dismantled. The models of the Volkswagen concern turned out to be the most reliable.
The German publication Auto Bild has published its traditional car reliability rating. Experts have determined which cars are best preserved after a run of 100,000 km. The results were published on the publication’s website.

The research methodology is very non-standard. Auto Bild journalists regularly conduct long test drives. All malfunctions are fixed, and on a run of 100,000 km, the cars are completely disassembled at service stations and their technical condition is assessed.
Of course, many modern models already have problems at 100,000 km, but a number of cars turned out to be either fully functional or with minor breakdowns. They are the ones who topped the list. The Volkswagen concern turned out to be the absolute leader – 5 of its models were in the TOP-10 at once.
