“60 days – so much, on average, the soldiers participated in the war before they stopped communicating. It takes months to search, and the fate of at least 85 soldiers is unknown to their relatives even after six months of searching,” the authors of the study write.

The publication notes that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation does not recognize losses and does not provide assistance to the relatives of those killed in the war either in search of bodies or in providing information.
