AVTOVAZ President Maxim Sokolov assured that the funds allocated for 2023 under the program of state support for demand for domestic cars for gasoline cars have already been exhausted. He believes that the program of preferential car loans should be financed.
Sokolov recalled that in previous years many times more funds were allocated for this program, this year – just over 5 billion rubles.

“And these funds have already been spent since the beginning of February. True, 1.5 billion of these 5 billion were blocked there – under the electric car program. Although electric vehicles, if my memory serves me, in January, less than 20 units were sold throughout Russia, ”the head of AVTOVAZ drew attention.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation denied the information that the state program will be reoriented to support the purchase of electric vehicles. Experts also agree that both domestic car manufacturers and buyers themselves will suffer from the changes.
