If you drove to the intersection at the green traffic light, but did not have time to complete the maneuver and the red light turned on, then there will be no punishment for this, said Sergey Radko, a lawyer for the Freedom of Choice automobile movement.
At the same time, he noted that if there is another traffic light with a stop line further along the direction of travel at the intersection, the driver is obliged to stop on this line.
If the driver drove to the intersection at the permissive signal of the traffic light, but completed the maneuver already when the red light turned on, he is obliged to drive through the intersection to the end. At the same time, the traffic police inspector is not entitled to fine the driver for this, the traffic rules directly indicate this, ”the expert explained.
