An updated 2023 Hyundai Avante sedan has been announced in South Korea (Elantra in the global market).
The restyling exterior design remained recognizable, but seriously redesigned, especially the front end. The 2023 Hyundai Elantra has new headlights, bumpers, front fenders, and a smaller grille that is now split by a horizontal bumper line.
Details about the interior and technical changes are not yet available.
Details about restyling
Pre-styling Elantra sample of 2020.
The compact sedan Hyundai Elantra (South Korean model name -Avante) in the seventh generation version was shown in the spring of 2020. Exactly 3 years later, the manufacturer presents the result of a facelift: images of a car with the code designation CN7 PE appeared on the website of the Korean company, where “CN7” means Elantra 7, and “PE” stands for Product Enhancement or Product Improvement.
Hyundai Elantra 2023 remains one of the most popular models of the brand and, in general, around the world, where the number of sold sedans has long exceeded the 10 million mark.
In 2020, this car has further strengthened its position, largely due to the successful transformation from an ordinary sedan to a “four-door coupe”. Along the way, the car body has become larger, and the exterior design has become more stylish, but the current restyling is making further adjustments to the appearance of the car.
External design
The 2023 Hyundai Elantra gets major changes to the front end, with the “devil smile” formed by the signature grille shape and headlamp placement giving way to a simpler architecture.
A bar appeared on the bumper, which, in fact, divided the grille into two parts, which can be considered a return to the classic solution, where a central air intake is formed in the front overhang.
At the same time, the headlights became narrower, which made the exterior of the car even more aggressive and sporty. At the stern, only the bumper has been replaced, which is now adorned with a new pseudo diffuser and a wide U-shaped silver insert, stretched from one edge of the overhang to the other.
In addition, the area of glossy surfaces is expanded, while the red reflectors are slightly stretched in width.
Salon
The interior of the 2020 model.
Inside, the restyled Hyundai Elantra sedan is ready to offer only one change – the new Sage Green package, which uses environmentally friendly materials.
Accordingly, the equipment of the front panel remains the same: with two 10.25-inch displays and a branded multifunction steering wheel. The level of the maximum configuration of such a car will continue to offer 6 airbags, dual-zone climate control, heated all seats, Bose music and parking sensors.
Technical stuffing and characteristics
The Hyundai Avante 2023 sedan offered in South Korea has a wide range of engines, from a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated MPI (123 hp) to a 141-horsepower hybrid.
The middle option is a 200 hp turbo engine. with., to which the “box” 6-automatic transmission goes in a pair. The surprise here may be the modification of the Elantra GT N Line, which has not yet been presented in a restyled version, but it may well rely on the 1.6 GDI power plant in its forced version.
Prices and start of sales
The Korean price list for Hyundai Avante (Elantra) before restyling has the following figures – from 16 to 25 million won, which is equivalent to 0.9-1.4 million Russian rubles.
Facelift will be the reason for a slight increase in prices, and Koreans will be able to purchase an updated version of the car this spring. By the way, theoretically, the appearance of the Hyundai Elantra 2023 with a new exterior can also be expected in Russia. Now seventh-generation cars imported under the “parallel import” scheme are sold here at prices starting at 2.7 million rubles.
