JK Rowling recently spoke on a podcast about her first marriage and how her then-husband Jorge Arantes actually took her manuscript of the first Harry Potter book hostage so she couldn’t get away from it. However, the writer stole her creation, took her daughter and returned to the UK. Arantish came for her, but through the court he was forced to leave and leave Rowling alone. Now he commented for the first time and said that the writer was lying. The Daily Mail writes about it.
Jorge Arantes, 54, said he never tried to hide her manuscript. And then he began to claim that he helped her write a book about a juvenile wizard, which later conquered the whole world and made JK Rowling a multimillionaire.
Speaking on her podcast about her ex-husband, Rowling for the first time confirmed the rumors that her husband beat and controlled her. She said that she was afraid that he would burn the manuscript, and therefore secretly copied the pages and hid them at work. In Portugal, we recall, she worked as an English teacher.

“I don’t know why she is saying what she is saying now, maybe she is delirious after three years of isolation from Covid. I was surprised when I read about it. I deny it. It doesn’t make any sense. Why should I do that something like that?” Arantes said.
He also stated that he helped her write the book.
“The first book was exciting; the writing was great and I’ve always enjoyed it because we shared a passion for literature, especially children’s literature. The project was seven books long and I was very into the first one and she knows it. She started write it when we were together,” Rowling’s ex-husband said.
He previously admitted hitting Joan when she was leaving him and said he “didn’t regret it.”
JK Rowling married Arantish in 1992. They met in a bar in Portugal, agreed on a love for the works of Jane Austen. Rowling moved to Porto after her mother’s death and began working as an English teacher. However, a year later the couple broke up and Rowling returned to the UK with her daughter Jessica.
She noted that marriage with Arantes became “cruel and controlling.” He searched her purse every time she came home.
Rowling is now married to Dr. Neil Murrem, with whom she has lived for 21 years. The couple has two children.
Jorge Arantes lives in Porto, and, according to rumors, he never married a second time. For a time he lived in Paris with his brother, who works as a travel agent. Neighbors say that he rarely goes outside and listens to music all day long. His daughter Jessica does not communicate with him.
