According to the Vostok Air Command, the invaders tried to strike at Ukraine, presumably with Iranian Shahed drones.
On the evening of February 27, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation attacked the territory of Ukraine with unmanned aerial vehicles. In the Dniprovsky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, two UAVs were destroyed by the forces and means of the anti-aircraft missile forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Air Command “Vostok”.
It is noted that the Russians probably used Iranian-made Shahed drones.
“Tonight, the enemy used strike UAVs, presumably “Shahed”, in the zone of responsibility of the Vostok air defense complex. Two enemy UAVs were destroyed in the Dnieper region during the strike by the forces and means of the anti-aircraft missile forces,” the publication says.

On the night of February 27, the Russian Armed Forces also attacked the city of Khmelnitsky with Iranian kamikaze drones, as a result of which two rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were killed.
In addition, in one of the districts of the Kyiv region, fragments of a drone shot down on the night of February 27 were found in a field. According to the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kyiv region, Andriy Nebitov, there were no casualties or damage to infrastructure as a result of the attack by enemy UAVs.
Air Force spokesman Colonel Yuriy Ignat noted that Russian forces are using Iranian Shahed-136 attack drones to track down and deplete Ukrainian air defenses. He explained that the A-50 radar plane takes off when the Ukrainian forces are combating the Shaheda and fixes the launch sites from our anti-aircraft missile systems.
Recall that on February 27, CIA Director William Burns, in an interview with the American CBS channel, said that Russia is helping Iran develop its missile program, receiving weapons in exchange for a full-scale war with Ukraine. Thus, the RF Armed Forces received hundreds of Iranian attack drones.
