The Bavarian novelty hit the lens of spy cameras. The test car was hiding camouflage, but the paparazzi were lucky – they managed to take a picture of the interior.

BMW recently unveiled the 2022 2-Series Coupe. Now next in line is the debut of the “charged” BMW M2. In the meantime, the Germans continue to actively test the high-performance novelty.

Camouflage makes it difficult to see it in detail, but we still expect an elegant and stylish design from it. The “hot” M version will borrow the grille and optics from the usual coupe. But the front bumper will try on a more daring design.

The fenders of the car will be wider than on the standard 2-series, and the image is complemented by light-alloy wheels with an original design and a sportier exhaust system with four tailpipes. The rear bumper has become larger, and there is room for a neat spoiler on the tailgate.

Overall, the M2 will largely follow in the footsteps of the M240i, but the interior of this prototype is very different.

The novelty will receive a virtual gadget and modern multimedia with a large touchscreen, as on the i4 and iX. In this case, both screens stand separately. The M2 will only reach the conveyor in December 2022. Under the hood of the novelty, we expect to see a six-cylinder engine with twin turbocharging of three liters, whose output ranges from 480 to 490 hp. If the forecast turns out to be correct, the new product will surpass the power of the previous M2 Competition, which demonstrates 405 horsepower.

BMW is actively testing the next-generation 7 Series sedan. This interesting video shows two different prototypes of the Bavarian novelty driving along the Nürburgring. The video says these are hybrid cars, but we believe at least one of them is an all-electric i7.

We’ve seen prototypes of the 7 Series in Hell Green quite often, but the i7 is a rarity in these places.

The last prototype of the latter was seen in February 2021, and now we see a test sample of this electric vehicle, on the doors and trunk of which the labels inherent in prototypes with electric motors are clearly visible. We’ve also noticed that all i7 prototypes have an E suffix on the license plate, so this may be an easy way to identify these heavily disguised models in the future. You can also note the absence of exhaust pipes.

Filler headlights, reminiscent of the 8 Series headlights, are visible from the front, while the taillights still look like temporary solutions. Compared to recently seen 7 Series prototypes, the i7 prototype has a different camouflage on the nose, and heavier coatings hide all but the largest body parts. We do expect the i7 to be noticeably different from the usual combustion-powered 7, and the EV luxury sedan is rumored to boast up to 650 horsepower thanks to its large battery pack and twin motors that power all four wheels.

The new generation of the 7 Series sedan is rumored to receive a significant technology upgrade over the current car. Previous observations of prototypes have shown that there are various cameras crammed around the car, suggesting that the new car could get a Level 3 autonomous control system. A cabin with digital screens similar to the i4 Gran Coupe should be offered as standard.

Recently, we have seen many prototypes of the new generation BMW 5 Series. The electric test car stickers and the lack of visible exhaust pipes on this version of the novelty hint that we have an electric version of the business sedan, which will receive the designation i5.

Regardless of the engine type, all cars in the new 5 Series have the same styling.

In particular, there is a sloping front part and rather small “nostrils” of the false radiator grille. It is also worth noting the rather narrow headlights at the corners of the updated “face”.

Hyundai is working on a new compact SUV that will hit the market under the Casper name. It is this name that appears in the documents of the South Korean Intellectual Property Rights Office.

Whether the automaker thought about the friendly ghost from the 1995 fantasy comedy when choosing this trade name is not known. The length of the new Hyundai Casper will not exceed four meters. It will be based on the K1 platform, while developing countries are named among the main markets, with India coming out on top.

It is possible that over time, the compact cross will be brought to Europe. It was also previously reported that an electrified Casper will appear on the home market. The engine range can be borrowed from the Kia Picanto and Hyundai i10.

An inexpensive novelty can reach the conveyor in September. The start of sales is tentatively scheduled for the last quarter of this year.

The short-wheelbase crossover Kia Sportage is due to hit the European market in September.

The 5th generation Kia Sportage was spotted the day before without any camouflage. It should be noted that the so-called European version of the model with a short wheelbase with a length of about 4.50 meters was caught in the lenses of photo spies. The model is expected to go on sale in September. This particular model, which will have much the same design, despite some bumper differences.

(four-wheel drive).

The “true” hybrid version will be based on the new 1.6-liter T-GDI (turbocharged direct injection petrol) Smartstream engine and a 44.2 kW electric motor with a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery. It is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission (6AT). Total power 230 HP

Without connection to the 48-volt mild hybrid system, the 1.6-liter T-GDI Smartstream petrol engine is available with 150 hp, six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. The 1.6-liter CRDi Smartstream diesel engine will be available with 115 hp. and a six-speed front-wheel drive manual transmission.

A plug-in hybrid version of the all-new Sportage with a 1.6-liter T-GDI engine and 265 hp. will also be available to buyers. This model may appear before the end of the year or early 2022.

The tests captured a camouflaged prototype of the next-generation BMW 5 Series business sedan. Thanks to less camouflage, you can see some elements of the updated exterior, in particular the false radiator grille.

We are in the very early stages of testing the next generation BMW 5 Series sedan prototype. This is only our second “meeting” with the car – the first prototype of the novelty was filmed on camera in early July. In fact, it could be the same hybrid test sample we saw earlier, but this time we have crisp, high-resolution photos that give us a detailed look at the all-new five.

Perhaps the best news is that the car won’t get that huge false grille that has earned some serious criticism from BMW lately.

A close-up of the front end of the spotted prototype reveals a wide but somewhat thin radiator grille, similar to that used by the current version of the sedan, but with a slightly wider “nostril” spacing at the top.

It is important to note that this vehicle is covered with cover panels under a black camouflage wrap. The same detail that allows us to see the contour of the false radiator grille also shows extensive coverage throughout the front fascia and bonnet, not to mention the sides and rear.

That being said, we see several revised panels riveted to the bottom of the doors, which suggest there are noticeable body changes underneath. The same applies to the bonnet and C-pillar, as well as the rear fascia, where the obvious taillights are almost invisible through the camouflage film. This prototype is marked as a hybrid test car – notice the access door on the front fender on the driver’s side, which is visible through the camouflage film.

The latest shots allow a generous look at the interior, which differs from the basic versions by the presence of a large screen in the instrument cluster.

The new generation BMW 2 Series Coupe is already on sale, although those who wish will have to be patient to get their first copies. They will arrive in the spring of 2022. Meanwhile, BMW M technicians are continuing the test program developed for the new 2023 BMW M2.

New spy photos of this most insane BMW variant remain as camouflaged as in previous sightings. It is still impossible to see the details. At the same time, it is clear that the novelty will use a new vertical grille. This part has already been spotted in spy photos, retaining the classic double grille.

Thin double vertical stripes will run horizontally. The bumper with leaf-covered air intakes features profiled skirts and bulging wheel arches, giving the car a more aggressive look.

At the rear, the most noticeable feature will be a new spoiler lip on the edge of the boot lid and four tailpipes in the center of the rear.

A glance at the dash reveals a more modern configuration than the one shown in the new 2 Series coupe. And that’s what the top of the lineup will have, from launch, a new digital dashboard with a minimalist design that fits across the lineup. The same curved screen made its debut on board the iX.

The G87, as it is called internally, will be unveiled after the summer of 2022. its production will begin in December. It will arrive at dealerships in late spring 2023. Under the hood will be the M4’s 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 450 hp, available with both manual and automatic transmissions. The sports car will feature sophisticated options, alloy wheels up to 20 inches in diameter and a carbon roof.

The automaker is expected to keep the proportions largely unchanged, keeping the length difference from the Range Rover by about 120 millimeters, although it will grow by a few tenths. At the front, narrower headlights with Full LED technology and a “zest” that will run along the entire perimeter of the headlamp are expected. The Mercedes-Benz EQE electric sedan continues to be tested on public roads. This time the spies caught the novelty at one of the intersections in Germany.

Unlike previous spy shots, when the all-electric sedan was tested at the Nurburgring, the EQE in the new video shows a more relaxed character. Tested in urban wet conditions.

The prototype here is similar to what we saw back in April during cold weather tests, even with the same set of rims. But the optics, hiding under the camouflage, are now apparently serial. At the back, the difference between EQE and EQS is more obvious.

While the EQS looks more like a liftback than a sedan, the EQE has a more traditional boot lid with a third brake light placed in its usual place. A few styling cuts are expected, but the EQS will be more luxurious and more premium in terms of cabin comfort.

Powertrain details are scarce at the moment, but we can conclude that the Mercedes EQE will receive different battery capacities, as is the case with the EQS.

Reports said the model could offer up to 403 horsepower and 765 Nm of torque in an all-wheel drive version. Also, the Germans are preparing a more “charged” Mercedes-AMG EQE, which, according to rumors, develops a power of over 500 hp.

The Mercedes EQE sedan is confirmed to debut in September at the IAA in Munich, which will replace the Frankfurt Motor Show.

But Opel refused to participate in the main auto show in Germany. The new Astra hatchback will also debut in the fall – with a new design and a richer list of engines. The novelty will fall into the hands of buyers only at the beginning of 2022.
