This year marks the completion of 75 years of Abarth production, an occasion that the Italian brand, which is also famous for its talent in special editions, could not leave unexploited.
This is exactly how a new, limited edition of the Abarth 695 with the distinctive 75° Anniversario came about which, in addition to its anniversary character for the 75 years of Abarth, also honors the 1.4 liter T-Jet petrol engine that has been supplying for several years all performance versions of the 500 signature scorpion. For this very reason, the new version will be manufactured in 1,368 copies as well as the displacement of the four-cylinder engine which “measures” 1,368 cc.
The engine in question in this case produces 180 hp and 250 Nm of torque, figures that make this particular version the most powerful petrol-powered Abarth ever made, as is the electric Abarth 600e. As a result, the new version accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds while its maximum speed is set at 225 km/h. Traditionally, power is transmitted exclusively to the front wheels with the assistance of a five-speed manual gearbox.
Upgrades to the Abarth 695 75° Anniversario include the Record Monza Sovraposto active valve exhaust system, as well as a Koni manual suspension, while Brembo brakes with perforated, ventilated discs complete the specification.
Of course, the specific elements already characterize the top version 695, but in this case they are combined with an even more aggressive aesthetic with dominant shades of black and gold which also paint the 17-inch wheels.
A corresponding warlike atmosphere prevails in the interior, dominated by the Sabelt sports seats made of carbon fiber, the black Alcantara leather in the upholstery with the gold seams. Its equipment includes a seven-inch TFT screen in the role of the instrument panel that is combined with a correspondingly sized screen for the infotainment that integrates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The equipment also includes a Beats audio system and automatic climate control.
