An advertisement for the sale of the legendary 1983 Audi Quattro sports car has appeared on eBay. The current bid for the lot is just over $12,000. Such a low price tag is explained by the condition of the car, which has been sitting unused in a barn in Arizona since 2000. In fact, the legendary sports car went to the current owner along with the house.
Thanks to the local climate, which is not characterized by high humidity and sub-zero temperatures, the car body was not damaged. But everyone else has problems. In particular, the new owner will have to invest in restoring the interior. Also, the “reanimation” of the engine, transmission and chassis will cost a hefty sum. The odometer of the “barn” Audi Quattro for sale shows more than 150 thousand kilometers.
The 1993 Audi Quattro was one of the first production cars to feature all-wheel drive. The sports car is equipped with a 2.1-liter turbocharged inline engine. In its basic configuration it develops 200 hp. From 0 to 100 km/h the car accelerates in 7.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 220 km/h.
