After a long wait, Aston Martin she pulled back the cover and revealed her new version Vantage. In most cases the facelift are limited to minor interventions, without changing many, basic elements of the car. This however that doesn't seem to be the case with the new Vantage which comes with significant upgrades on the engine part and appearance, but also with a almost new interior.
Under the long hood is a revised version of the familiar V8 of 4.0 L. with twin turbos bearing her seal Mercedes-AMG.
The new settings the motor received, combined with the installation bigger turbostook off the power to 655 PS and the moment at 800 Nm – an increase of 30% and 15% respectively compared to the previous model. The numbers speak for themselves and tell us what is ahead of us the fastest Vantage ever built for the road.
It also received amendments 8-speed ZF automatic transmission where it is now faster. All these interventions result in the new Vantage accelerating to 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 sec. while the top speed reaches the 325 km/h. To keep the fun to drive element that characterizes the series alive, Aston Martin has also stepped up in increasing the rigidity of the aluminum chassis placing reinforcements on the floor.
The car runs over 21 inch light alloy wheels while the tires chosen by the manufacturer are the Michelin Pilot Sport S 5. Inside the wheels there are disc brakes with six-piston calipers for the front axle and four-pistons for the rear.
Those who are not comfortable with this option can choose from the optional equipment carbon ceramic brakes, saving 27 kg in unsprung mass. Note that the two-seater car weighs 1,605 kg and Aston Martin engineers have managed to split it 50:50 between the front and rear.
The body of the new Vantage is almost 3 cm wider in than before and this element adds points in the sporty feel which exudes the car from the very first glance. The size of the mask also moved upwards has grown by 38% compared to the previous version.
The new one is also impressive bright signature which consists of Matrix LED headlights with built-ins running lights. From there on, on both ends of the bumper, we have the familiar ones – from the previous model – vertical vents while the outside mirrors lack a frame and the handles on the doors are emerging for the first time.
An almost new image is also found in interior. Updates in this area are quite reminiscent of her DB12with the center console redesigned and doing angle with the dashboardwhile at the top there is a 10.25-inch touchscreen; for the multimedia system.
The past also includes digital instrument panel with the three sectors and the central tachometer. It has been placed in its place a single screen while a new addition is also the three-spoke flat bottom steering wheel.
The revelations about the Vantage series do not stop here, since in the coming months it is expected to be presented as well the revised version of the open Volante. Production of the new Aston Martin Vantage will begin within the first quarter of 2024 while the first deliveries are planned for the second half of the year.
