The Jeep Avenger range gets two new important additions to the domestic market that make it even more affordable and more collectible. The first addition concerns a new entry-level equipment called Longitude which in the version with the 1.2-liter petrol engine with an output of 100 hp combined with a six-speed manual transmission starts from €23,990.
The second addition concerns the mild hybrid e-Hybrid version, with a 48V parallel electric circuit and a dual-clutch automatic transmission with the possibility of manual operation in a new version that starts from €26,490.
Overall the range includes the Longitude, Altitude and Summit equipment levels. It is worth noting that at the entry level Longitude the equipment has everything required for an easy, comfortable and safe daily life, among which, a 10.25″ touchscreen for infotainment, Uconnect services, a 7″ digital instrument panel, rear parking sensors, cruise control, 16″ alloy wheels, lane keeping, autonomous braking, road sign recognition, as well as the Selec-Terrain and Hill Descent Control systems, as an ally for routes off asphalt.
The mid-level Altitude adds, among other things, 17-spoke wheels, an eco-leather steering wheel, automatic climate control and a 10.25” instrument panel, while the top-of-the-line Summit 18-spoke alloy wheels, Full LED headlights, keyless entry and start, inductive charging, handsfree door trunk, level 2 autonomous driving, reversing camera with drone view, 360 parking sensorsThe and blind spot monitoring.
There are also several optional equipment packages that further enhance the style, luxury and entertainment, bringing the Avenger to every customer's taste. Important news is that an opening sunroof is now available on all Jeep Avengers, with a total area of 0.9 m2 of which 0.2 m2 they open.
The e-Hybrid version with the 48V mild hybrid system has a 21 kW electric motor positioned directly behind the six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and offers the possibility of driving purely on electricity at a speed of up to 30 km/h and a distance of up to 1 km. An electrification system (with BSG starter-alternator) is also available for the 1.2 lt thermal engine, which operates in the Miller thermodynamic cycle in order to benefit to the maximum extent from the hybrid package.
With 100 PS and 205 Nm the new Avenger e-Hybrid accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 10.9” and has a maximum speed of 184 km/h, while consuming an average of 4.9-5.1 lt/100 km according to the WLTP standard and emits 111-114 g/km CO2, so it is not burdened by traffic fees and can circulate daily in the ring. It should also be noted that it is possible to tow a trailer up to 1,100 kg – with brakes, a weight that for the petrol version reaches 1,200 kg.
It is recalled that the prices for the purely electric range start at €30,700 for the Longitude version along with the government subsidy of the “Moving Electric 2” program, while its battery is covered by an 8-year warranty. Mechanical parts are covered for 4 years or 100,000 miles, as with all Avengers.
