THE formalizing the transfer of the decade to Formula 1which will see Lewis Hamilton become a resident of Maranello 2025leaves him Carlos Sainz out of frame.
The Spaniard issued a statement a few minutes after the official from the Ferrarisaying:
“Following today's news, after 2024 we will part ways with Scuderia Ferrari.
“We have a long season ahead of us and, as always, I will give my best for the Team and for Tifosi around the world.
“News about the future to be revealed in due course.”
What might the Spaniard's future hold?
THE Red Bull is an option as Sergio Perez is on a tightrope with the team, and with him out of contract beyond 2024, Sainz could return to fill the role he avoided by leaving for Renault before seven years.
Then, the Mercedes looking for a guide. However, the Germans first have better options for what they need, and Sainz does not qualify.
Therefore, the two most likely scenarios are Aston Martin and the Sauberwhich will soon become Audi.
For the British, it is a move that makes sense, because if Alonso stays Sainz will fill him in perfectly, while if he leaves then they will bring him as a replacement. And for the driver it is a good choice, as it will either be close to No. 1, or it will become No. 1 directly.
However, where it will definitely be the first name from the beginning is Hinwil. If he goes there in 2025, he will do so to start building early for the arrival of Audi, where he will become the No. 1 given that even if Valtteri Bottas stays, Sainz is younger and with a greater prospect for the future.
