It was enough to amend the municipal regulation and the mayor of Jarovnice can use the vehicle for private purposes as well. At the same time, it is questionable whether such a benefit is adequate at all, since Giňa has already tapped the maximum possible salary at the level of 5 thousand euros per month, which allows her to playfully “compete” with leading state officials.
The circumstances under which such events occur in the village are all the more surprising. Jarovnice, which has the largest Roma community in the country, does not have an ideal financial situation. Recently, the municipality approved a loan that it had to take, in the amount of 800,000 euros. The standard of living of many local residents is also unfavorable.
The municipality did not pay the amount for the car all at once, but leased it. The paradox is that the highest-ranking civil servants, such as state secretaries, would not even be able to use such a car as Giňa according to the current guidelines. They are subject to a price limit of 48,000 euros.
