In the Kharkov region, four civilians were injured as a result of shelling by Russian troops. On January 28, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that Russian invaders attacked settlements in the Kharkov, Kupyansky and Chuguevsky districts. A cemetery in the city of Kupyansk was damaged as a result of a Russian attack.
The head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkov region, Vladimir Timoshko, said that three men and one woman were injured. According to him, 13 private houses, two private cars and a cemetery were damaged by enemy ammunition.
On January 28, Russian troops killed the last resident of a village in the Sumy region. The citizen was in the village of Stepok, located near the border with the Russian Federation, next to the Pokrovka-Kolochilovka humanitarian checkpoint. The victim of the shelling was a 60-year-old man who had previously refused to be evacuated from the village.
