What bothers female travelers in Bratislava on the Vajanské nábreží?
Travelers have a heavy heart for the Bratislava municipality because of (not only) the Vajanské nábreží. “The changes have one common denominator, namely that they were not communicated in advance. We could have avoided many things after a professional discussion,” the Sme.sk portal quotes Marcela Lauková, chairwoman of the Incoming Travel Agencies Club.
Buses used to stop in front of the Park Inn in large numbers. However, this is no longer possible after the introduction of traffic restrictions on the Vajanské nábreží – along with the construction of a controversial cycle path. The Malá scéna stop is offered as one of the alternatives, but it may not be suitable for several reasons. For example, it may be too far, especially for older groups of tourists.
The municipality says that it emphasizes the development of tourism and that it communicates about the changes. “We are concentrating on restoring and improving the quality of public spaces to make Bratislava attractive for tourists. Boasting a four-lane road in the city center does not exactly belong to tourist attractions,” bequeathed Peter Bubla from the Bratislava municipality.
Currently, a new station for buses with tourists at Suchy Myto, where they will be able to get on and off, is also being prepared.
