Maserati has confirmed its intention to become an all-electric brand while also setting a timetable for its new EVs to come to market.
The doctrine of electric mobility is now embraced by Maserati as well, confirming today its commitment to become a purely electric brand with a time horizon of 2030.
“More than ever, Maserati believes in the electric mobility of the future and is currently organizing all its actions in all areas to transform itself to a level of competitiveness but also to exceed consumer expectations”the company typically states in its official announcements.
As is well known, the Italian company based in Modena and trademarked the trident has has already begun its journey into the new electric erarevealing its first two all-electric vehicles: the GranTurismo Folgore and Grecale Folgore, which are already sold in Italy as well as in other European markets. At the same time, Maserati is the first Italian brand to be present in Formula E.

Maserati's next all-electric model, to be launched this year, is the GranCabrio Folgore, which is expected to see the limelight soon after the debut of its thermal versions.
The Italian company's path towards electrification will continue with the new one MC20 Thunderboltwhich we will see the 2025, while an all-new large SUV in the E class will debut in 2027, powered by two electric motors.
The next electric “blow” of the Italians will be the next generation of the Quattroportewhich will be purely electric and is expected on the commercial scene in Europe no earlier than 2028.
All future models of the brand are designed, developed and manufactured against 100% in Italy. As the company announced, at the Maserati factory in Modena, where today the MC20 and MC20 Cielo, will soon host production space for the Folgore (Italian for “lightning”) version of the Italian coupe/convertible.
