Testing of a new hydrogen city bus built by the Polish company Autosan has begun in Warsaw. He will drive through the streets of the Polish capital for about a month. According to city mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, this is the second test of a vehicle powered by the fuel of the future.
The passenger capacity of the bus is 85 people. It is suitable for passengers in wheelchairs. Its main advantage is the absence of exhaust gases. The only thing released during movement is clean water or steam.
The bus is equipped with an electric motor, lithium-titanium batteries and a fuel cell power module. Hydrogen reserves are stored in composite cylinders mounted on the roof of the bus. The total volume of tanks is 320 km. dm. A full refueling lasts for 400 km.
