The station wagon version of the electric BMW i5 is in the works, and the German company is giving us an idea of what to expect.
THE BMW released to the public and more specifically on social media a short video of the upcoming BMW 5 Series Touring and more specifically with her i5 electric version.
It is against a dark background, with the car making a quick pass, posing from all sides. The new more practical, but sufficiently powerful version of the big BMW is expected to be launched in spring of 2024.
At this stage, the technical details of the model have not been announced Touring version of it, but it is not expected to have any differences compared to the i5 sedan, presented in the spring of 2023, which in the top version M60 xDrive performs in boost mode 601 horsepower and 801 Nm of torque.

With two electric motors, one on each axle, it will offer explosive performance-with 0-100 km/h in less than 4 seconds-, which are even expected to be combined with sound. The one we hear in the “depth” of the video and edited by the Oscar winner Hans Zimmer.
The volume of the sound is proportional to the speed and increases as the driver presses the right pedal, with the complexion of course to be different from the one we are used to from thermal engines until now.
There is also expected to be a smaller version of the practical BMW i5 Touring, with the badges eDrive40 which will yield 340 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. In this version, the transmission will only go to the rear wheels, with a range of up to 580 kilometers.
