Moto Guzzi Stelvio
The Stelvio is the on-off Moto Guzzi designed for adventurous travel. It is based on a new and completely modern technical platform and is the only one in its class with a transmission shaft and an electrically adjustable windshield. The aerodynamics have benefited from a very thorough study to maximize wind protection, comfort and driving pleasure. The windscreen has also been the subject of a special study and has been shaped in a way that allows the airflow to be deflected without creating vortices, assisted by the two side aerodynamic wings.
The Stelvio is powered by the new “compact block” engine, introduced in the V100 Mandello, a fully refined state-of-the-art engine in terms of design and construction: it is compact and light, allowing for a flexible, sport-oriented chassis architecture. It is a liquid-cooled 90° transverse V-twin with two overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder.
The six-speed gearbox has been redesigned for even smoother and easier gear changes. The performance of this engine is clearly sporty: maximum power is 115 hp at 8,700 rpm, while maximum torque is 105 Nm at 6,750 rpm, with 82% available from 3,500 and the rev limiter set at 9,500.
The high-strength tubular steel frame is paired with 19″ front and 17″ rear radial wheels and long-travel suspension, ideal options for travel comfort and fun on slightly off-road routes or fast driving on the tarmac.
The Stelvio is the first Moto Guzzi to be equipped with the PFF Rider Assistance Solution system. It is an innovative driver support platform that guarantees functions that play a fundamental role in active safety and is based on radar technology developed by Piaggio Fast Forward, the Boston-based robotics company founded in 2015 by the Piaggio Group.
Top-of-the-line electronic equipment is complemented by the Ride by Wire electronic throttle and 6-axis inertial platform that better manages electronic controls for safety (such as Cornering ABS) and fun. There are five Riding Modes: Touring, Rain, Road, Sport and Off-Road, which manage engine braking, ABS, traction control and engine maps. In Off-Road mode both ABS and traction control can be switched off.
A wide range of accessories is designed to make the driving experience even more comfortable and exciting.
