According to journalists, the investigation by Polish specialists was stopped due to the alleged lack of any cooperation on the part of Kyiv.
Polish prosecutors have halted their investigation into the Przewodow rocket crash, concluding that the missile was fired by Ukraine. RMF 24 reports this.
According to journalists, the conclusion was made based on the available evidence. However, it is impossible to definitively determine all the circumstances of the event.
The Polish prosecutor's office said that this decision was made due to the lack of any cooperation on the part of Ukraine. A few months ago, prosecutors sent their findings to Ukrainian authorities and demanded information that would allow them to determine who fired the fallen missile.
Rocket crash in Poland: what is known
Let us recall that on November 15, 2022, during massive missile attacks on Ukraine in the city of Przewodow, Lublin Voivodeship, Poland a rocket fell. On November 25, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Kyiv was never provided with evidence that the rocket that fell in Poland was Ukrainian. The minister said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have information that the missile that killed two people in Przewodiv was not fired by Ukrainian air defense. The diplomat is confident that the incident will not affect Ukraine’s relations with Western partners.
Already in September 2023, Polish media reported that Polish investigators had concluded that the missile was Ukrainian. Łukasz Lapczyński, a spokesman for the National Prosecutor's Office, confirmed that they had received the expert report, but due to its secrecy, they were not disclosing its contents. According to Polish journalists, Ukraine allegedly did not cooperate with the investigation and did not provide case materials on its part.
