Volvo at an all-time high, internationally and in Greece: in 2023, the company noted the highest performance of all time in its sales, having 708,716 cars worldwide15% more than in 2022. For the same period, h Volvo Car Hellas announces a 15-year record in its sales in the Greek marketwith classifications 2,388 carsincreased by 24% against 2022.
Last year, the company sold 113,419 pure electric cars worldwide70% more than in 2022, and 152,561 plug-in hybrid cars10% more compared to 2022. Sales of purely electric cars represent 16% of all Volvo cars which were arranged worldwide during 2023.
In 2023, European sales amounted to 294,794 carsmarking a 19% increase over 2022. The range of models Volvo Rechargewith a purely electric or plug-in hybrid drive system took a 59% share in the total number of cars sold on the continent last year.
Sales data for 2023 in Greece they depict a similar picturewith even greater market penetration of electrified Volvo models: for the year as a whole, registrations of all-electric and plug-in hybrid Volvo Recharges rose in 1,819 carsup 82% from 2022, with all-electric registrations increasing by 69% and plug-in hybrids vs 87%, compared to 2022.
It is worth noting that the strong demand for Volvo plug-in hybrids placed the company in first place in the specific category in Greece, with a 16.1% share of the total market. Equally important is the increase in sales of all-electric Volvos which, with 396 units for 2023, now represent 17% of the company’s total classifications.
