Significant fluctuations to the average cost of damage to the insured vehicles are recorded by prefecture, according to its data Union of Insurance Companies of Greece which he presents in detail insurancedaily.gr.
The data pertains to cars, trucks, motorcycles and buses and the prefecture with the highest cost of damage in Greece for 2022 it was Arta which reaches 2,136 euros. On the other side, the prefecture of Kastoria has the lowest cost with 884 euros.
It is worth noting that while Athens has a consistently higher average cost than Thessaloniki in the last five years, in 2022 the facts were reversed and the co-capitalist took “head” with 1,319 euros against 1,298 euros. In the remaining prefectures of Greece, particularly large amounts, over 1,700 euros, appear Lefkada and Lesbos.
The frequency of damage within the decade does not show large fluctuations since from 10.3% in 2012 we reach 9.9% in 2022. Big drops are recorded in 2015 when the index reaches 6.5% and in 2020 to 7.9% due to the restrictions on traffic in the context of dealing with the pandemic.
The figures are derived from the data recorded by Association of Insurance Companies of Greece in the vehicle statistical yearbook every year and for 2022 they concern a percentage 70.89% cars and taxis, 14.68% agricultural vehicles, buses and trucks and 14.43% motorcycles.
