According to Sobyanin, the UAV was flying towards Moscow.
“Tonight, air defense forces in the urban district of Podolsk repelled an attack by a drone flying towards Moscow. At the site where the debris fell, according to preliminary data, there was no damage or casualties. Emergency services specialists are working at the scene,” the Russian official said.

As reported by the Russian Telegram channel SHOT, there were two “claps” at approximately 01:05 a.m. local time.
“According to our information, the explosions occurred at 1:05 a.m. and were heard in different parts of the city. The drone flying towards Moscow was destroyed, there were no casualties or destruction on the ground,” the statement said.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that air defense systems shot down one unmanned aerial vehicle over the territory of the Moscow region, and another was intercepted over the territory of the Leningrad region.
Earlier it was reported that Vampire missiles and UAVs attacked the Belgorod region. As a result of the attack, infrastructure facilities were damaged. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties, the governor of the Belgorod region informed.
