Thanks to a larger traction electric motor and a new automatic transmission, the more powerful hybrid and plug-in hybrid have much better dynamics. Thanks to this, the gasoline-electric Kuga with AWD can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, while it needed 9.5 seconds to do so until now. And even better is the rechargeable model. It improved from the original 9.2 seconds to 7.3 seconds.
At the same time, Ford reminds that both of these versions can pull a braked trailer weighing 2.1 tons, and the PHEV should, thanks to the 14.4-kWh additional traction battery, manage 60 to 69 kilometers in purely electric mode. And one more thing about the trailer: thanks to the Trailer Tow Navigation function, you can enter its dimensions, including the length, height and weight of the set, and the navigation will help you avoid sharp turns, narrow streets, low bridges or other problematic places.
