Citroen Racing has revealed the new C3 Rally2 livery ahead of its debut in two weeks’ time at Rallye Monte Carlo.
The design of the new Citroen c3 Rally2 underlines the French company’s new corporate identity that was first unveiled in 2022. Now, the C3 Rally2 proudly carries the oval logo of the brand on its sides and roof, with the designers having also interfered with the clean lines of the chevrons (Citroen’s famous “badge”) to stand out from their frame, thus giving a dynamic appearance to the car, from every angle.
Of course, Mr red color combination comes to confirm the sporty DNA of Citroen Racing and its glorious history in rallying.
This visual effect is the work of the Citroen design team, in close collaboration with Citroen Racing, which confirms the new brand identity with a dynamic and impressive graphic, leaving “space” for all members of the #C3Rally2Family to express their personality. The two-tone design will debut on the Monte Carlo Rallywhich will be held between January 25-28, with the official Citroen Racing cars and crew Yohan Rossel-Arnaud Dunand and Nikolay Gryazin-Konstantin Alexandrov.
The oval logo dominates, especially on the roof, where chevrons show the C3 Rally2 the way forward, towards performance and speed. Larger versions of the logo extend from the side windows to the rear wheels, highlighting the Citroen identity. At the same time, two closely spaced white stripes symbolizing chevrons are repeated on all four sides of the vehicle. At the front, they are placed horizontally at the bottom of the car, as if visually “pressing” it to the ground. On the sides, they are on a more familiar diagonal, “meeting” the back of the roof.
These elements further contribute to its prominence contrasting two-tone effect, separating the red front of the car from the black rear. At the rear, two sloping stripes ensure that the C3 Rally2 stands out even from a distance.
Its use red color Andre Red (named after the company’s founder André Citroen) is an “ode” to the brand’s history in the World Rally Championship. Today, the C3 Rally2 is at the forefront of the highly competitive Rally2 class, having won in 2023 many championship titles, as well as rally victories, all over the world. In conjunction with this new look, Citroen Racing’s technical teams continue to modernize the C3 Rally2 and continuously improve its performance, to perpetuate its legendary history.
