Father Andrew Bagshaw said autopsy results show his son was shot in the torso and shot in the head.
British volunteers Andrew Bagshaw and Christopher Parry were executed by Wagner PMC mercenaries. This was stated by Andrew’s father, Professor Philip Bagshaw, who lives in New Zealand, writes Sky News.
According to the professor, the results of the autopsy show that his son was shot in the torso and finished off in the head. He stated that it was a “classic performance style” and also said that Christopher Parry had the same wounds.
Philip Bagshaw noted that people he and his wife Sue spoke to in Ukraine suggested that Andrew and Christopher were executed by Wagner mercenaries.
Journalists noted that Perry’s relatives did not make public comments regarding the volunteer’s death.
The material states that after the death of their son, Professor Bagshaw and his wife Sue began raising money for Ukraine through the Andrew Memorial Fund.
“We’re really proud of the fact that he was himself, he didn’t compare himself to anyone, he just did what he thought was right,” the parents said.
They called on the UK government to investigate whether a war crime was committed against their son Andrew and Christopher Parry.
The death of British volunteers in the war in Ukraine: what is known
Let us recall that in January 2023 it became known that British citizens Christopher Parry and Andrew Bagshaw went missing. On January 6, they left Kramatorsk for Soledar, after which contact with them was lost. The next day, January 7, information about the missing Englishmen was received by the duty station of the Bakhmut regional police department.
Already on January 12, the then still living head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, announced that one of the two previously missing British citizens had died in Soledar. British documents were also found.
BBC journalists later reported that Chris and Andrew were killed while trying to evacuate an elderly woman when their car was hit by an artillery shell.
Let us also recall that the Armed Forces of Ukraine named the city that the Russian Armed Forces want to capture. According to the press service officer of the 26th artillery brigade Oleg Kalashnikov, enemy personnel will be used to assault Ukrainian positions in the area of the city of Chasov Yar. The occupiers are gradually abandoning attacks with armored vehicles.
