The French automobile industry, represented in Greece by the Syngelidis Group, also recorded top performances in 2023 in both retail and corporate sales.
Specifically, at the top of corporate sales was the Peugeot 2008, with a market share of 9.7% and an increase of 85.5% compared to 2022, confirming once again that the extremely popular B-SUV of the French brand is the ideal choice for companies and their executives. The first was noted by Peugeot and in category B electric vehicles, with the e-208 occupying a 45% share in this category, marking an increase in registrations, compared to 2022, by 315.8%! In fact, the new e-208, which is already in Peugeot showrooms throughout Greece, is expected to raise the sales bar even higher, based both on the significant technological upgrades it brings with the new larger battery and driving range, as well as on its overall new aesthetics, which essentially makes it a point of reference in the supermini category.
Another excellent model, the Peugeot 308, came in second place in diesel and plug-in C-class sales, with a share of 19.5% and 19.8% respectively. Of course, the “sprint” of performance could not miss the “jewel” of the brand, the Peugeot 3008, which took second place in the C-SUV category with 2,302 registrations and a share of 9.0%. The same is true of the corporate sales podium for the 3008, further demonstrating the reasons why its award-winning SUV Peugeot has established itself as an ideal choice of vehicle for businessmen as well as high-ranking executives, among other premium propositions of the market.
Accordingly, Peugeot also recorded firsts in light commercial vehicles (LCVs), where, excluding pick-ups, it took first place in the general ranking with a 22.2% market share and with Partner and Expert taking first place in the categories F1 and K1 respectively. Its range of models Peugeot, stands out for its fuel economy, low emissions and excellent performance in terms of power and torque. Among other things, Peugeot has managed to establish a leading presence in the category of plug-in hybrid and purely electric versions in long-term lease, as its models ensure to their respective users a low tax rate and zero corporate tax. In this context, Peugeot offers versions that also benefit corporate users in terms of taxation.
For 2024, the Peugeot still aims high, relying on the high reliability of its models, the advanced and multi-awarded diesel and gasoline engines available in its range, the power provided by the choice between thermal, electric and hybrid versions and of course the guarantee of the name of the Syngelidis Group which represents it, through a perfect network of sales and aftersales representatives, throughout Greece.
