Abarth is teaming up with Stellantis Motorsport to produce Abarth’s hottest – and all-electric – model that will deliver 240bhp.
Abarth and Stellantis Motorsport – the arm that exists behind every racing activity of Stellantis – announce today their collaboration, which aims to set new standards for the world of electric mobility and is expressed by the creation of the most powerful Abarth in Scorpio history.
An ode to Abarth’s racing history, the collaboration with Stellantis Motorsport continues the practice of refinements which established the brand in the automotive firmament. In other words, the use of mechanical parts that have evolved on the track, for maximum performance and reliability.
Turning the ‘everyday’ into ‘exciting’, Abarth’s partnership with Stellantis Motorsport delivered the Perfo-eCMP platform which is a completely upgraded version of the eCMP, in a sporty light. Behind this creation is nothing less than the ideal mix of technology, racing experience, engineering know-how and hundreds of hours of development testing.
Every part of the new model has been studied, improve and adjust by the best engineers and testers of Abarth and Stellantis Motorsport, certainly aiming for the best possible sporting result. The engine and suspension make up a high-performance package that guarantees the best combination of grip, feel and stability. Or in other words, the exciting driving sensation under all conditions.
As an icing on the cake, the new Abarth will also have one unique limited slip differential, specially developed and adapted to the requirements of the electric drive system. The most powerful Abarth of all time will be powered by electric motor with a power of 240 hp, while it takes over the deceleration a braking system with large discs and calipers; for strong braking with resistance to hard use.
They also benefit from the racing know-how tires of the new model. Using soft compound on the outer edge and middle of the sole, they ensure the maximum possible grip without high wear, while the built-in sole polyurethane film reduces rolling noise by 20%.
As for the cabin, the seats are of interest with racing genes that at the same time remain comfortable even in the most demanding conditions. They are composed of 4 different types of foam and their shape ensures all the required lateral support in turns.
In summary, in the new Abarth every detail is studied in depth proving that the brand continues to path of electrification with complete dedication to its roots. Stay tuned…
