The Slovakian Stellantis (formerly PSA) went through a rather turbulent and difficult period, which received 200 million euros to implement changes in production, but these were not without redundancies. Stellantis moved production of the Peugeot 208 to other countries, but “contributed” two electric cars to Slovakia.
In Trnava, according to published information, they will focus on the Smart cars program, which represents the production of the Citroen C3, C3 Aircross models, and the Opel Crossland will be added next year.
The Jaguar Land Rover plant, which now produces, for example, the Defender model, will also start producing electric cars during this decade. This is key news from the point of view of the future of the Nitrian factory.
Details remain shrouded in mystery. However, it will be interesting to learn more about the size of the investment and, of course, which electrified models Jaguar Land Rover will entrust to the Slovak plant.
