At the company’s factory located in China, the production of just one copy of this particular model is completed in less than 40 minutes.
In the familiar Gigafactory of Tesla at Shanghai, Chinathe use of a multitude of automation systems helps the world’s No. 1 electric car manufacturer reach impressive production standards.
Just two 24 hours ago, the Tesla Manufacturing posted a short video on X, formerly Twitter, highlighting the fact that Tesla’s Shanghai production facility is “running” with automation that reaches a percentage of 95%. Which allows the factory to complete the construction of a vehicle in just 39.62 seconds.
In the relevant post it is also pointed out that in this particular unit the 1,000,000th vehicle in two and a half years since the start of its operation, while the 2,000,000 after just 12 months last September.

Tesla produces in said unit the Model Y, the No. 1 selling electric model – and not only – in the world, as well as the renewed Model 3.
It emerged last month that Model Y production has been ramped up significantly at the Shanghai plant, with the automaker expected to produce double the amount of the model compared to the Model 3.
In October, Tesla reported that the unit’s estimated annual momentum now stands at more than 950,000 units.
In this particular unit, it will be manufactured from the middle of this year and the updated version of the Model Y.
