Who remembers the SWM Gran Milano 440? The model of the Italian company was produced until recently, in an interesting café racer form, retro to the core – read our test of the Gran Milano, several years ago, with a click here. For 2024, SWM seems to be doing a “total reset” on the model, changing it radically and adopting a decidedly more modern look. The new motorcycle, in fact, was also introduced to us in the context of EICMA 2023.
The new Gran Milano reaches 494 cubic meters, with the use of a “known” two-cylinder in-line engine that produces 47 hp – suitable for an A2 license, that is, and with the qualifications of a “general purpose” motorcycle. The brakes are provided by J.Juan, with two discs in the front and one in the back, while the suspensions are by KYB and can be adjusted both front and rear. The weight of the bike is announced at 188 kg, with a saddle height of just 790 mm, which makes it predictably easy to reach, for almost any rider.
For a possible arrival in our country, we have not yet learned anything, but for Italy the price of the model was set at a rather interesting amount, at the level of 6,240 euros.
