A few weeks ago, HWA revealed how working on a thorough restomod of Mercedes 190E 2.5 16 Evo IIwanting to bring the legendary model into the modern era.
At the time he had only presented plans, but now he is able to show what it will look like HWA EVOas it is called, in final of form.
THE HWAbased in Germany and cooperates for years with her Mercedes mainly to motor sportswill follow the logic of Singer, which specializes in 911 restomods. In essence, it supplies the series cars W201from which the 190Ε Evo IIand turns them into EVO. He does not choose to “tweak” original 190E Evo IIs, but approaches the mod with “white paper”.
The renderings published by HWA show a car with many similarities with the 190E Evo IIwith small differences that distinguish and give uniqueness to restomod, such as black grille in the front part.
In the side up to and including wings above the wheels are respectively… inflated with the original vehicle, while at back partthe large airfoil it catches the eye.
THE HWA doesn’tmentioned technical details for the EVO. The original model brought 2.6 L engine improved by Cosworthwith effect from 230 PSbut it is unlikely that there will be 100 such motors to meet the needs of the tuner.
What is known is that each example of this restomod will cost 714,000 euros.
