Cheap fuels with which Orlen challenges the competition
In simple is beauty? The Polish Orlen continues to expand on the Slovak market and has also ventured into the segment of smaller pumps with completely self-service operation, in which, for example, the long-term market leader Slovnaft does not see much potential. Although Slovnaft itself has installed a terminal at almost 30 pumps where you can pay for fuel without an attendant, the portal HNonline.sk pointed out.
In total, Slovnaft operates 233 pumping stations in our country. Orlen has a total of 90 operations, with 31 stations bearing the “Orlen Express” label. You won’t find service in these places, and the Polish company itself admits that this is how it targets the low-cost segment.
You will realize it very quickly in practice. While the price per liter of petrol or diesel at the classic large gas station networks in Slovakia currently exceeds 1.5 euros, the situation is different at the self-service stations in Orlen. Gasoline here has a price tag lower by seven cents per liter, writes HNonline.sk.
