As the Kirovograd region police said, the 29-year-old lieutenant is survived by his wife and two children. In Kherson, he served as part of a combined force and helped with the evacuation of citizens during an enemy attack.
During the evacuation of civilians from the Kherson station, the Russian army attacked the station building and rolling stock. As a result of enemy shelling, police lieutenant from the Kirovograd region Igor Misyunya was killed. This was reported in the communications department of the GUNP in the Kirovograd region.
Igor Misyuna was 29 years old. He began service in 2017 in the city of Dolinskaya. He is survived by his wife and two children.
Igor Misyunya was part of the combined detachment in Kherson. Two more police officers, who helped with the evacuation of citizens, received shrapnel wounds and are in the hospital.
The death of the policeman was commented on by the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko: “Unfortunately, a police lieutenant from the Kirovograd region was killed as a result of shelling. He served as part of a combined detachment in Kherson. He was fatally wounded during the evacuation of people. Our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased… Two more policemen – in the hospital with shrapnel wounds.”

On December 26, Russian troops attacked the railway station in Kherson. In addition to the station building itself, trains were also damaged, including an evacuation train. Ukrazaliznytsia reported that the company’s personnel were injured. According to the Kherson Police Department, two civilians and two police officers were injured, one person died.
As the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko said, at the time of the impact about 140 passengers were waiting for the departure of the evacuation train.
Later, UZ said that the passengers were successfully evacuated to Nikolaev by bus. Now she is assessing the condition of the station and the level of damage to the rolling stock, so trains from Kramatorsk, Lvov and Kyiv will be sent to Nikolaev.
