The Patras Port Authority and PPC blue are working together to promote electric mobility in its areas of responsibility in Patras and Rio.
THE cooperation concerns the creation of 22 charging points for electric vehicles in various parts of the port of Patras and Rio, such as the eastern and western piers of Rio, at the reception station “Panagiotis Kanellopoulos” at Iroon Polytechnic and the New Port, which is expected to be completed in the winter. The placement of the chargers is an important step for the promotion of electric mobility in Patras and the wider region. The chargers will enable residents and visitors to the city to charge their electric vehicles, helping to reduce emissions and protect the environment. In addition, electric vehicles passing through the port of Patras will be able to travel with their batteries fully charged.
THE Patras Port Organization gives special importance to the protection of the environment and acts actively against climate change by placing electric mobility chargers as part of the Organization’s overall strategy for sustainable development. The installation of electric mobility chargers will contribute to strengthening the environmental awareness of citizens and reducing air pollution in Patras. E-mobility is a sustainable solution for movement, which helps to reduce emissions and protect the environment. Source: Patras Port Organization
