Until now the director of the racing department of Ducati, Paolo Ciabatti and an old acquaintance of the friends of the team in MotoGP takes on new duties within the company from Borgo Panigale.
THE Paolo Ciabatti is one of the most important executives of Ducati Corse having been director of the racing department of the Italian company from 2013 until today. Now, the Italian known to MotoGP fans is “moving”, starting from the beginning of 2024, taking up new duties within the company from Borgo Panigale.
After the recent announcement of Ducati’s new project to bring to light a range of off-road models which will initially be “present” in national motocross races as early as 2024, Paolo Ciabbati is the one who will assume duties from the new year general manager at the newly formed Ducati Corse Off-Road.
As an integral part of its product development plan in motocross racing, Ducati has since the new year enlisted a original motorcycle 450 cc. which will be developed by Alessandro Lupino, in co-operation with Antonio Cairoli. The new off-road racing division within Ducati Corse will focus on organizing and managing the company’s off-road program, which includes Ducati’s participation in MXGP World Championship as well as in AMA Supercross Championship the next years.
Paolo Ciabbati will also retain responsibility for coordinating Ducati’s racing activities in main SBK and SSP national championships (MotoAmerica, British Superbike, All Japan Superbike, Australian Superbike και CIV).
The position of Paolo Ciabbati will be taken by the previous head of marketing and sponsorship of Ducati Corse, Mauro Grassilli.
O Luigi Dall’Igna retains the position of general manager of Ducati Corse, which, in addition to MotoGP, “manages” the presence of the Italian company and in WorldSBK.
