Enemy drones were spotted in Kherson, Nikolaev, Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Cherkassy, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsky regions.
Russian troops attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones. The Air Force first warned of the threat at 23:39 on December 18.
“Attention! Movement of a group of hostile UAVs of the “Shahed” type from Kherson in the northwestern direction (Nikolayev/Dnipropetrovsk regions),” the message said.
Later, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that the drones were spotted on the border of the Kherson and Dnepropetrovsk regions. They were moving in the direction of Krivoy Rog. The second group was recorded in the Berislavsky district of the Kherson region. The UAVs were moving in the direction of the Nikolaev region.
Then it became known that both groups headed towards the Kirovograd region.
“The movement of the UAV “Shahed” through the Kirovograd region is in the direction of the Cherkasy region,” the Air Force announced at 00:54. Later, a message appeared that the drones headed to the Vinnytsia region, and then to the Khmelnytsky region.
“Starokonstantinov – stay in shelters!” – the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced at 03:07 am.
The air raid all clear was announced at 03:56 am. Thus, the air alarm lasted more than 4 hours.
Let us remind you that the media showed a combat boat that protects Kyiv from attacks by the Russian Armed Forces. The Russian military could route missiles and drones through rivers to complicate Ukrainian radars. Soldiers on a combat boat are regularly on duty in the Dnieper.
The Ministry of Energy also explained when mass power outages are possible. According to Energy Minister German Galushchenko, blackouts are possible if a hurricane occurs again, which recently raged in the Odessa region. If there are severe frosts, the energy system will withstand it.
