The installation of charging stations for electric vehicles will be carried out by the municipality of Anogeia, following the contract signed with PPC SA and PPC Renewables SA for the concession of the use of common areas.
THE municipality of Anogeia had proceeded with the relevant procedures for a bidding auction, expressing his interest in Anogia acquiring electric vehicle charging stations, in the context of the municipal authority’s effort to reduce energy-related costs. Her interest and offer PPC SA and her PPC Renewables SA resulted in the municipality granting the premises that meet the conditions for the installation of charging stations. Specifically 10 common areas for a total of 19 publicly accessible charging points, to be configured, where necessary, to place electric vehicle recharging points by the electric vehicle recharging and e-mobility service provider.
The Municipality undertakes the obligation, as it grants the use of these places to the provider of recharging services for electric vehicles and electric mobility, in order for it to install stations and charging points for electric vehicles in accordance with the existing legislation, and in particular the law 4710/2020. The duration of the concession of use is set at nine years, starting from the date of signing the contract and with the possibility of being extended for another six years, following a decision of the Municipal Council and a written agreement of both parties.
Regarding the consideration for granting the use of the common areas, which will be paid by the electric vehicle recharging and electrification service provider to the Municipality on a monthly basis, it will be: “a 10% rate on the profit of the electrification (i.e. electrification income minus the cost of electricity) and also , minimum guaranteed monthly remuneration, the amount of one thousand five hundred and fifty-six euros and thirty-eight cents (1,556.38 Euros) secured by the tender process. In addition to the rent, the lessee is obliged to pay stamp duty of 3.6% and any other fee, duty or any future imposed tax that may arise.
After the end of the first year of the lease, the minimum guaranteed monthly rent will be adjusted annually according to the Consumer Price Index and in addition the EV recharging and e-mobility service provider will have to pay 50% of the gross receipts of the electric charge for the additional time the vehicle stays inside the charging station. According to the municipal authority, Anogeia Citizen card holders, if they happen to be owners of electric vehicles, will be given a 10% discount on the cost of charging. Source: RES-MPE
