“It is possible that after them (the elections, editor’s note) the policy will change,” Tavares thinks. It is no surprise that it is the head of the Stellantis concern who is warning about a possible change of approach, who no longer likes the forced universal shift to the electric drive of cars.
At the same time, Tavares assured that if it turns out that politicians and the public want to go the way of fewer electric cars compared to the current ambitions, Stellantis is ready to comply and adjust his approach. It is therefore not a concrete promise, but similar opinions show that the end of combustion engines in cars is not 100 percent guaranteed.
However, if nothing changes, Stellantis will sell only electric cars from the next decade.
