In the popular series, the British actor played the role of the demon Crowley.
Popular British actor Mark Sheppard, star of the TV series “Supernatural”, almost died after six heart attacks. The 59-year-old actor said he suffered a “widowmaker” – the most fatal type of cardiac arrest. The Daily Mail writes about this.
Supernatural star Mark Sheppard has revealed he suffered six massive heart attacks after collapsing in his Los Angeles kitchen.
The 59-year-old British actor credited his wife Sarah Louise Fudge for saving his life and said he was doing well after enduring four resuscitations.
Sheppard said he suffered a “widowmaker,” or “widowmaker,” the deadliest type of cardiac arrest that occurs when the largest coronary artery is blocked.
He posted a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed in Providence St. Joseph, California.
Sheppard’s co-star Misha Collins, 49, called his ordeal “impressive.”
“Six heart attacks? Two or three would have been impressive enough. You impressed us, okay. Now get well and get back on track with us. Love you, buddy,” Misha wrote.
“I was on my way to a meeting yesterday when I passed out in the kitchen. Six major heart attacks and four times being brought back from the dead later, I apparently had a 100% blocked artery. Widowmaker. If it weren’t for my wife and the incredible hospital staff, if only they hadn’t written this post. My chances of survival were practically zero. I feel great. I’ve resigned myself once again. Going home tomorrow!” the actor wrote in the post.
The LAD (Anterior Interventricular Branch, or anterior descending artery) is the largest coronary artery, carrying nearly 50 percent of the blood to the heart, according to NewYork-Presbyterian University Irving Medical Center.
Sheppard is best known for his role as the supervillain demon Crowley in the TV series Supernatural, and he has also starred in many popular series in recent years, including the reboot of Battlestar Galactica.
The famous actress Rosie O’Donnell almost died from the “widowmaker”. She suffered this type of heart attack in 2012 and after it radically changed her diet and also underwent surgery.
According to experts, symptoms of widowmaker and other heart attacks include chest pain, shortness of breath, fast or irregular heartbeat, arm or shoulder pain, and feeling dizzy or weak. Anyone experiencing this should seek medical attention.
Let us remind you that the famous actress Frances Sternhagen recently died. She was the winner of two Tony Awards, but audiences remembered her for her role as Bunny McDougal, Charlotte’s mother-in-law from the popular TV series Sex and the City.
