The Russian diplomat said that agreements were reached between Russia and Ukraine in 2022, but allegedly the then British Prime Minister Johnson ordered Kyiv to continue fighting.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that neither Ukraine nor the West want to negotiate an end to the war with Russia. He said this during a press conference following the OSCE meeting in North Macedonia, the Russian TASS agency reports.
According to him, back in 2022, certain agreements were reached between Russia and Ukraine, but allegedly the then British Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered Kyiv to continue fighting. This, as Lavrov stated, was allegedly admitted by the head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia.
In addition, the Russian diplomat said that now the West does not hide the fact that it will lose if it stops helping Ukraine. First of all, we are talking about the fact that the Russian Federation will not stop at Ukraine, but will go to war against the Baltic countries and Poland.
“In order to start the political process, you need two, like in tango, but the guys on the other side are not dancing tango, but breakdancing. There you have to be a soloist,” Lavrov said.
Let us recall that at the same press conference, Lavrov called US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and EU Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell cowards. According to the diplomat, representatives of Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic countries ignored the OSCE meeting. And representatives of all delegations except the Russians were invited to dinner.
We also note that on November 24, Arakhamia said that not everything depends on Ukraine and Russia in ending the war. According to him, at the beginning of the war the unity of the Ukrainian people was extremely important. Intelligence agencies of various states reported the inability of the Russian invaders to find weak points to break the nation.
