Former SBU employee Ivan Stupak said that Russia is destroying all buildings so that the Ukrainian military has nowhere to set up positions and hide from attacks from heavy equipment.
The situation near Avdiivka is reminiscent of the battles for Bakhmut 8 months ago, when the occupiers carried out endless “meat assaults” and demolished all the buildings with artillery. Military analyst and former SBU employee Ivan Stupak spoke about this on November 29 on the FREEDOM TV channel.
According to him, Russia is now continuing pressure near Avdeevka. Ukrainian forces are forced to retreat from some positions, as they simply have nowhere to hide from attacks from heavy equipment.
“The Russian Federation is destroying building after building, our military simply has nothing to cling to. The buildings are being destroyed, and the military is simply forced to roll back,” he said.
Stupak also noted that the Russians do not stop using “meat assaults” to identify the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The invaders are advancing in waves. The goal of the first wave is always for Ukrainian soldiers to reveal themselves and start attacking. Russian drones are watching all this from the sky.
Let us recall that Defense Express expert Ivan Kirichevsky said that the Russian Armed Forces have reduced reinforced battalions to the level of assault groups that can maintain continuity of the offensive near Avdeevka. According to him, Russian assault groups have a high level of artillery and aviation support. F-16 fighters could reduce the fire impact on the Ukrainian military
