According to Lyudmila Buimister, Maryana Bezugla’s demand for the resignation of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny is “stupidity or hostile to the IPSO.”
People’s Deputy Lyudmila Buimister addressed Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin with a statement in which she called for opening a criminal case against People’s Deputy Maryana Bezugla. The corresponding document was published by the portal Censor.net on November 27.
Lyudmila Buimister criticized Maryana Bezugloya’s statements towards Valery Zaluzhny, saying that her colleague’s demand for the resignation of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is “stupidity or hostile to the IPSO.”
According to Buimister, a number of Bezugla’s statements on her personal official Facebook page can be regarded as deliberate discrediting of the Ukrainian military leadership during martial law.
War plan. For what documents does Maryana Bezuglaya demand the dismissal of General Zaluzhny and where to get them?
The statement also mentions comments under relevant publications by Bezugla. According to Buimister, from people’s reactions it can be concluded that the posts increase tension in civil society.
In addition, Buimister quoted the words of NSDC Secretary Alexei Danilov that the Russian Federation has activated a network of spies in Ukraine in order to “drive a wedge between the political and military leadership of Ukraine, as well as incite anti-government sentiments among the population.”
As a result, Buimister called for the inclusion in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations of information about Bezuglaya’s commission of criminal offenses under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason) and Article 114 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (espionage).
The scandal with Maryana Bezugla: what is known
Let us recall that on November 26, MP from the Servant of the People faction and member of the National Security Committee Maryana Bezuglaya criticized the actions of the Ukrainian high military command and, in particular, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny for the fact that he “failed to provide” a war plan for 2024.
The People’s Deputy said that if the country’s top military leadership does not have any plan for the next year and is not ready to change the system of the Ukrainian armed forces, then it must resign.
The next day, November 27, the Verkhovna Rada registered a resolution on the dismissal of MP Maryana Bezugla from the post of deputy chairman of the committee on national security, defense and intelligence.
In addition, the media reported that people’s deputies from the Servant of the People want to expel their colleague Maryana Bezuglaya from the faction in the Verkhovna Rada, but are not sure that they will be able to achieve this.
