According to MP Roksolana Pidlasa, from January in Ukraine some pension payments will be calculated in a new way. This is necessary in order to adjust the system.
Despite the fact that a number of pension payments will increase in 2024, some citizens may receive significantly less money. People’s Deputy Roksolana Pidlasa spoke about this.
According to her, next year large-scale indexation of payments will be introduced and a pension point system will appear. Some citizens will receive less money and this is associated with certain professions.
“That is, those who currently receive the smallest pensions will have an increase in payments. At the same time, for officials who have retired and receive some astronomical sums, we plan to reduce such pensions. All this is done in order to the solidarity pension system was fairer,” the report says.
Separately, it was noted that the new system will be regulated as much as possible and thus large payments to officials will be reduced. This will help increase the amount of payments for other citizens.
The people’s deputy also added about payments to citizens who are internally displaced. As of November 2023, there are about 2 million of them, and 57.6 billion hryvnia were budgeted for their support.
By the way, it was previously reported that minimum payments for Ukrainians will increase in January. The state budget stipulates that some pension payments will be increased from the first day of 2024. The cost of living will also increase. As a result, citizens will receive 2,361 hryvnia, instead of 2,093.
