According to eyewitnesses, the men went to work in a bus, they were dropped off at one of the checkpoints and taken to the Malinovsky draft board. The Odessa military announced the distortion of facts and good conditions for the mobilized.
Odessa Telegram channels on March 16 wrote about the mass detentions of men in the Malinovsky military registration and enlistment office on Zankovetskaya Street. The military and police allegedly worked at one of the checkpoints in the city.
“My husband went to work in Liman at lunchtime yesterday. The military and the police at the checkpoint were removed from the bus. They brought him to the military registration and enlistment office. Everything was quickly processed, the commission did all the work. I was only able to see him after 8 pm, I went there. They won’t let me go. Two buses “the guys were taken away from there. Today I went and handed things to him. Two lawyers shrugged. My brother has been kept there for two days,” the message says.
There was information about the detention of a young man on the street and his delivery to Zankovetskaya.
“I went through a medical examination and were told to look for a place where I would sleep. The next day, they took me to study,” the Telegram channels write.
A video has also appeared showing that people who have been mobilized for several days are being held at the military registration and enlistment office. In the footage, the men lie indoors on bunks.
“You’ve been here for a week, and how long are you? It’s been 4 days since Monday,” the men say.
Detentions in the Malinovsky military enlistment office – the position of the Odessa military commissars
The Odessa Regional TCC said that some citizens, in an attempt to avoid mobilization and increase their ratings on social networks, create content to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine and deliberately distort the facts.
“One of the bloggers who taught the wisdom of quick money on social networks, having got to the point of forming teams in the TCC, tried to raise the ratings of his own channel by loosening the topic of inhuman conditions at such a point, the unjustified stay of those liable for military service there. The conditions in which the persons liable for military service are during the passage medical examinations and expectations of being sent to military units, to the TCC correspond to the statutory norms,” the military authorities said.
Recreational facilities, sanitary facilities with hot water, decent and tasty food are organized in the military registration and enlistment offices, the military assured and showed photographs for clarity.
A stay at such a point usually does not exceed 3 days.
“In order to avoid misunderstandings, fear or any other incomprehensible circumstances, each person liable for military service must fulfill his constitutional obligation – to appear at the territorial recruitment center, clarify personal data, verify the existence of grounds for deferring the draft, if any,” the military commissariats concluded.
Recall that on March 7 in Odessa, the police severely detained a man liable for military service in the middle of the street. He refused to take the summons, the patrolmen found pills from the man, according to him, of narcotic origin.
And on January 22, in Odessa, men in camouflage knocked a civilian to the ground and hit him several times. After that, he was dragged onto the bus.
