The presentation of the new Tank brand took place on the Russian market – the model range of which consists of frame SUVs with a brutal appearance. Tank 500 (similar to Toyota Land Cruiser 300) and more compact Tank 300 (similar to Toyota Fortuner) will be the first-born in our market.

Tank 300
The Tank brand belongs to the Chinese concern Great Wall, in Russia it is represented by the Haval brand and Great Wall pickup trucks. But the new Tank sub-brand will have a separate dealer network, expectedly closely connected to Haval centers.

The start of sales of commercial vehicles will begin in the first half of 2023. Tank 300 and Tank 500 off-road vehicles will be the first to go on sale, prices and configurations will be announced in the near future. Initially, dealerships will open in nine Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Kemerovo, Voronezh, Chelyabinsk, Tolyatti and Nizhny Novgorod.

Tank 300
Tank 300 is the junior model announced on the home market back in 2020. In terms of size, form factor and appearance, the SUV is comparable to the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler.
It has a frame body structure, a longitudinally located motor and all-wheel drive with an electromagnetic clutch for connecting the front axle. The off-road character is confirmed by the installed low gear (dual-multiplier) and differential lock on both axles. Ground clearance – 224 mm.
Under the hood is a two-liter petrol turbo engine (220 hp and 387 Hm) and an automatic eight-speed gearbox. The engine is adapted for the 92nd gasoline.
Prices and equipment for Russia for the Tank 300 have not yet been announced, most likely they will be published after the official premiere in November. In China, an SUV starts at $27,500, but as usual, prices in the local market have nothing to do with the Russian price list.

Tank 500
The Tank 500 is a larger model comparable in size to the popular Toyota Land Cruiser 300 in Russia.
The “500th” is unified in design and platform with the younger Tank 300, which means a body on a frame, four-wheel drive with a front axle electromagnetic clutch, a longitudinally located engine and a spring suspension (two levers in front and a continuous axle in the back).
To conquer off-road, a differential lock of the rear and front axles is installed, as well as a low gear. Ground clearance is the same – 224 mm.
The Tank 500 already has its own engine. This is a six-cylinder gasoline bi-turbo unit with a volume of three liters. In China, it delivers power of 354 hp and 500 Hm, but for Russia it will be derated to 299 hp and 500 Hm (the torque will remain identical). The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Prices and configurations have not yet been announced, most likely they will be published after the November premiere in Russia. At home, prices for the Tank 500 start at $46,000, at the current rate of about three million rubles, but let us recall that Chinese prices have nothing to do with the Russian price list. Tank 400
Note! If the previous two SUVs are presented in the form of production cars and are already sold in the local market and in Saudi Arabia, then the next three models exist only as a concept (but close to the presentation).
The Tank 400 is a pre-production SUV with an angular design and a drop-down roof. Based on the lineup hierarchy, the 400th will be smaller than the Tank 500, but larger than the Tank 300.
On the technical side, it will be unified with the rest of the “Tanks”, which means a frame structure, spring suspension, all-wheel drive with blocking of both axles and a reduction gear.
It can get the power part from both the younger Tank 300 (2.0 220 hp) and the larger Tank 500 (3.0 V6 299 hp).
The serial version should be presented in 2023.
Tank 700
The Tank 700 is a large SUV with an angular design in the style of the Tank 400. Of the features, one can note separate second-row seats like in executive cars.
Technically, this is a classic Tank, but unlike its counterparts, according to preliminary data, it will have a choice of a two-liter or three-liter engine, as well as as many as three differential locks, while the rest will only have two.
Estimated release date for the production version is 2023.
Tank 800
Tank 800 is the flagship of the Tanks lineup. It was presented at the exhibition in a two-tone body, hinting at executive cars Range Rover or Rolls-Royce.
Technically unified with the large Great Wall X Cannon pickup truck, in addition to the design, they also have almost the same front end of the body. The suspension of the flagship is independent with air springs and adaptive dampers.
The interior of the Tank 800 is richly equipped with two second-row captain’s chairs equipped with ventilation, electric drive, a massager, footrests and central tunnels with a built-in refrigerator and stands for wine glasses.
Estimated release date for the production version is 2023.
