With the help of an armored personnel carrier, the Ukrainian military detects the positions of Russian troops and strikes at them, as well as covering the infantry during the assault.
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine used Ukrainian armored personnel carriers (BTR-4) “Bucephalus” in the Bakhmut direction in the Donetsk region. The footage provided by the military was published on the KARYMAT Telegram channel.
It is reported that the soldiers of the Ukrainian army delivered strikes from a 30-mm cannon.
In the first and second clips, two armored personnel carriers-4 “Bucephalus” detect the position of Russian troops, after which they begin to fire at it. In the third video, the military on vehicles cover the infantry during the assault on the positions of the Russian Armed Forces in the Bakhmut area.
What is known about the BTR-4 “Bucephalus”?
“Bucephalus” is an all-wheel drive eight-wheeled armored personnel carrier with an 8 × 8 wheel formula, developed in Ukraine – at the Kharkov Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering. The equipment is designed to transport soldiers of mechanized units and fire support in battle. Armored personnel carriers are used to equip units capable of conducting combat operations in different conditions, even in the case of the use of weapons of mass destruction.
The BTR-4 can perform assigned tasks around the clock, in various climatic conditions, on roads with various surfaces and in complete off-road conditions. Operating air temperature range from -40 to +55°C.
Recall that on March 10, Ukrainian border guards showed how they hold the defense in the Bakhmut direction with the help of mortars. The soldiers of the defense forces not only destroy enemy equipment, but also the personnel of the RF Armed Forces.
