We are talking about people who have previously been trained in training programs for reserve officers at military departments or faculties, and also have the appropriate ranks. Up to 250 people will be called up.
On Friday, March 10, Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 66 “On conscription of reserve officers for military service.” This was reported on the official website of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
The publication of the press service says that the document provides for the conscription of up to 230 men under the age of 27 to the Armed Forces of Belarus and up to 20 people to the border service in 2023.
It is clarified that we are talking about people who have previously been trained in training programs for reserve officers at military departments or faculties, have the appropriate ranks and are listed in the reserve.
The website of the president also notes that such events are planned by the Belarusian army every year.
“The implementation of this Decree will make it possible to increase the level of staffing of the primary military positions of officers in the Armed Forces, to ensure high-quality training of the mobilization reserve,” the press service writes.
According to Sky News on March 10, the Belarusian authorities are frightened by the scale of the partisan movement in the country and do not know how to act in such a situation. The partisans themselves claim to have carried out 17 major acts of sabotage on the railways of Belarus, for which they are threatened with the death penalty and long prison terms.
Recall that on March 9, Alexander Lukashenko signed the law on the death penalty for treason against the state. The document deals primarily with Belarusian officials and military personnel engaged in extremist and anti-state activities.
We also wrote that on March 9, the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuri Ignat pointed out that in recent months the Russian Armed Forces have not used the airspace of Belarus for shelling the territory of Ukraine.
