At the Ostroh Academy, students turned on the anthem of the Russian PMC “Wagner”, the music was heard from the windows of the hostel. This was announced by a resident of the city Vladimir Chernous in Instagram.
In the evening, he and a friend were sitting on a bench near one of the academy’s dormitories. At this time, the anthem of the “Wagnerites” was heard from the window.
“We are sitting on a bench in the yard and we hear how from the window of the 10th hostel the anthem of the Wagner PMC is pouring all over, to which the biosusor dances and beats. There are simply no words,” he said.

Soon the academy reacted to what had happened. A student of the Faculty of Economics is involved in the situation, the community noted on Instagram.
“Dear students, many of you know that a very unpleasant situation has turned out … We are informed about this and we sincerely apologize to those who were inconvenienced by this. The incident will not go unpunished. “, the message says.
Further, the student community assures that the university “studies an elite who is ready to die for their ideals and principles, understanding the current situation in the country.”
“Unfortunately, there are those who act recklessly. We ask you to refrain from rash actions and we promise that the problem will not remain unresolved,” the message says.
The Ostroh Academy had previously welcomed neither teaching in Russian, nor communication in it in public space, the students recalled.
The current Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny is a graduate of the Ostroh Academy. From 2019 to 2020, he studied at the university on the master’s program in international relations.
It should be noted that the Russian song “Summer and crossbows” is considered to be the unofficial anthem of PMC “Wagner”.
